Yeoman Shield Hits the spot in wall and door protection!

In 1966, the company was born with the sole purpose of introducing extruded uPVC crash rails to the market. Following a site survey, Yeoman Shield recommended Guardian Handrails for the hospital lifts and corridor walls, which are vulnerable to damage from passing pedestrians, wheelchairs and wheeled hospital equipment. 

The bright orange handrail with colour contrasting white stop ends meets the Disability Discrimination Act by helping the visually impaired to distinguish walls from doors. The rounded grip top also acts as a re-assuring support for elderly and less agile patients and visitors.

Orange Corner Protection Angles have also been fitted to prevent unsightly and expensive damage to the corner of walls in the lift lobby areas.

It’s great to see the patients, who are mainly elderly (including patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease), using the handrails, which are proving a great aid to their mobility.”
