We use the
Google
analytics to track visitors to www.IrishBuildingIndustry.ie
Google analytics is the most common and trust worthy analytics software
used today and gives a truly independent view of the performance
of a web site.
Hits
A hit is request
to the web server for a file. This can be an HTML page, an image,
a sound clip, a script, and many other file types. An HTML page
can account for several hits: the page itself, each image on the
page, and any embedded sound or video clips. Therefore, the number
of hits a website receives is not a valid popularity gauge and
this is why we do not use this metric in our performance stats.
Site Visits
Site Visits represent the number of individual
visits (sessions) initiated by all the visitors to www.IrishBuildingIndustry.ie
Users that leave our site and return within 30 minutes will be counted
as part of the original visit (only counted as 1 site visit
and not 2). Any future visits from the same user are counted as
additional visits, but not as additional visitors.
Unique Visitors
Unique Visitors represents the number of unduplicated
(counted only once) visitors to www.IrishBuildingIndustry.ie
Page Views
A pageview is defined as a view of a page
on www.IrishBuildingIndustry.ie that is being tracked by our analytics
tracking code. If a visitor hits reload after reaching the page,
this will be counted as an additional pageview. If a user navigates
to a different page and then returns to the original page, a second
pageview will be recorded as well. Page views show the actual number
of pages that were viewed on the site.
