Having represented Monarflex of Denmark (pioneers of multi-layered reinforced construction membranes) for most of that time, our long serving and committed team of staff has acquired considerable knowledge and expertise. In October 2007 Necoflex became part of Monarflex and the worldwide Icopal Group, giving us the added benefit of all that the group has to offer to the construction industry, both here and abroad.

Better known for our high quality reinforced Scaffold Sheeting and Roofing Felt in the early years, we expanded in 1994 and started the careful development of several innovative solutions to protect the health of building occupants from the harmful effects of radon gas. Working closely with the NSAI, in 1998 we developed the first Agrément certificate in the EU for a radon resisting membrane and in 2009 Necoflex Radon Control Systems delivered yet another first!

For the first time ever, Part L1 (conservation of fuel and energy) was addressed in a radon certification with the development of the new Necoflex RAM™ – Radon, Air & Moisture Protection System. (NSAI Agrément certificate No. 09/0328). Airtightness in buildings has become an important issue for designers and builders and this is where our new RAM™ system scores again. There has been much focus on ensuring the walls and roofs of new buildings are airtight. However, until now, little emphasis has been placed on finding more effective solutions for ground floors?

The RAM™ system takes care of that, sealing the interface from the underlying soil to exclude radon, air and moisture.

Our technical team is called upon regularly by designers to assist them with their new-build protection strategies and we've been involved with many of the largest housing and commercial developments undertaken in Ireland.

Building on that technical expertise we have teamed up with our sister company, Monarfloor Acoustic Systems, to bring the very latest in Acoustic Flooring and sound reduction technology to the Irish market.
