Our business was founded in 1973 to manufacture kitchen and bedroom furniture.
Over the past thirty years our company has grown to become one of the leading kitchen manufacturers in Ireland. We are a family run business located outside the historic town of Trim.
In 2003 our product range was independently accessed and tested by the Furniture Industry Research Association in Hertfordshire, England. This lengthy assessment involved a testing programme which focused on the structural integrity of the furniture, performance of hardware and surfaces, and safety requirements to BS6222 part 2 to level H for heavy domestic use. Following the successful completion of this programme we were presented with the FIRA GOLD AWARD for product excellence. Our products are annually assessed by a FIRA auditor to ensure compliance and any product modifications recalled for a re-test. We have continually achieved the GOLD AWARD since 2003.
Our business consists of two divisions, Retail and Trade. Retail involves the design, manufacture and installation of kitchen and bedroom furniture. Trade involves the sale and manufacture of kitchen and bedroom cabinets both complete or as individual components.
Our products feature the very best of materials combining traditional quality workmanship with the latest technologically advanced materials and construction methods including Polyurethane (PUR) Adhesive and edgings from 1.5mm thick.

Grass Grass cabinet hinge and drawer systems are the leading furniture fittings available to the kitchen industry. Hinges have been tested to a highest standard, some 50,000 openings. Drawers have been equally tested to 30,000 openings with up to a 40 Kg loading.

Henkel The most important ingredient in the construction of any furniture is Adhesive. All linear edges on units made by Fitzsimons Kitchens are bonded with the latest Polyurethane Adhesive, which has twice the heat resistance of any other adhesive and is impervious to water.
