Smoke Control Systems come in many forms and range widely in complexity. In designing a building, the incorporation of a smoke control system can significantly improve the life safety protection of the building.
Smoke Containment Systems restrict smoke movement from one area to another. These take the form of physical barriers such as smoke curtains, fire curtains or pressure differential systems, also known as pressurisation systems.
Smoke and Heat Exhaust Ventilation Systems can be natural or powered smoke extract systems to remove smoke from the building allowing low level escape routes to be kept clear of smoke.
