Fired-clay facing bricks Bricks including Red Brick Range, Buff Brick Range, Brown Brick Range, Multis Brick Range, Dutch Masters Bricks etc. To produce a quality brick, first at the brickworks, shale and fireclay are milled to a fine consistency and then extruded and wirecut to shape. The bricks are then dried in chamber dryers and fired at about 1,000 degrees centigrade in tunnel kilns using natural gas. Bricks should be fully durable and designated with Irish weather in mind as FL (Frost resistant & Low soluble salt content) for F2 (in accordance with EN771-1) . Special Shaped Bricks can also be ordered. The dimensions of special shaped bricks are chosen to co-ordinate with standard brick sizes (215 x 102.5 x 65 mm).
